Quakertown Farm Engagement session – Rachel and Nate

Meet Rachel and Nate:

When I first met Rachel, I instantly knew that her wedding was going to be a blast and she was going to be a true joy to work with. Although I haven’t photographed their wedding quite yet, I’m just as excited for it as though it’s a wedding of a close friend.

I took their engagement photos on Nate’s grandmother’s farm. This is the same place where they will be getting married on later on this year. The farm was so beautiful and it was a photographers gold mine.

You can instantly see the deep love Rachel and Nate have for each other. Durning our engagement session, they were making my heart melt. They are just about the sweetest couple and it’s been such a joy photographing them. This was definitely one of those engagement sessions where time just flew by.

I’m really blessed to be apart of their special day.

It was extremely hard picking just a few photos for the blog since I fell in love with so many, but I did my best. I hope you enjoy them. =]

2012 Haiti Trip – Photo Documentary

Well, this post has been a long time coming. I wish I would have gotten it up sooner, but better late then never.

Last month, I got the amazing opportunity to travel to Haiti for a photo documentary. I was working with this incredible non-profit organization called Poverty Resolutions.
Now, I didn’t even know I was going on this trip until about 4 days before. It was basically like “hey we need you can you go?” and I packed my bags, jumped on a plane and went to Haiti. I honestly didn’t have much time to plan or prepare myself.  but Lord willing, everything worked out.
I didn’t know what to expect on this trip. but what I saw and experienced, was life changing. I was more humbled then I ever have been before. I saw a group of people, working together to create again what they once had. People who had no house, clothes, or even food coming together and loving those around them. A community of people trying to fix what the earthquake has destroyed. Although there are some rough parts of the city, Haiti is surprisingly beautiful. What the news shows, is the destruction, but there is such beautiy in Haiti.

I got the chance to go around to many different schools and orphanages while in Haiti. Most of the children have never seen a camera before, so they were more then excited for me to take their photo.

I picked out some of my favorite photographs from this trip. I hope you can enjoy and get a glimpse of how beautiful Haiti truly is.

Also, please take some time to check out  Poverty Resolutions. Their goal is to build up Haiti again and help small business. What they’re doing is incredible and extremely helpful and life changing.

Mont Snow Vermont and Hillsong NYC

Hello all! =D

What a great weekend I had!

Friday Justin and I drove up to Mount Snow Vermont to snowboard because we heard they had just gotten 2 feet of fresh snow… and let’s be real, we couldn’t pass that up since we haven’t gotten any snow all year.
We did however find out that Vermont cops are extremely nice since we encountered one on our drive due to speeding… whoops.
But despite our rough start to the day, we had an amazing time snowboarding. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather. I swear I must have lost 3 pounds that day. My legs are so sore.

Then on Sunday, our young adult bible study took a trip to the Hillsong church NYC. I must say, I’m extremely impressed none of us got lost. The 11 of us managed to stick together the whole time which was a miracle.
Hillsong church has a total of 6 church services each Sunday! I was blown away by that. Our group went to the 6pm Service. We waited in line for an hour and as we were waiting, the line quickly started to wrap around the blocks as hundreds of people started to come. Thankfully, we made it into the 6pm service without having to wait in line for the next service. God is doing some amazing things at that church and I can’t wait to go back in the future.

Although I had a fantastic weekend, I’m happy to say, I’m home sweet home.

Here are some photos from the weekend =]

Enjoy!

Integrity Custom Woodworking, Kensington, CT.

Good afternoon everyone! =D

I’m excited to share with you my recent experience!
I have recently been working with a custom wood working company called Integrity Custom Woodworking located in Kensington, Connecticut.
They’re a company that specializes in designing and crafting high-end, custom kitchens.
They’re work is absolutely incredible and it was a true joy working with them. They’re a family owned business which is something I can easily relate to due to the fact that I grew up with my father running his own electrical contracting business.

I had a great time touring around Connecticut photographing all these houses. Most of them which are a DREAM home of mine. I mean seriously, I can get used to living in a multi-million dollar home. (who doesn’t want that)
I have to admit, some houses that I entered, I was almost scared to walk into. I was terrified of breaking something or tracking in dirt with my shoes. These were definitely some of the most beautiful houses I’ve ever been in and I was not about to mess them up with my tripods. haha!

Enough rambling, here are a few select photos from my shoots.

You can view all the photos on Integrity’s website. All photos on their website were taken by me. =]

Family portrait – Southington, Connecticut.

I had the amazing opportunity to photograph the Veranis’s for their family portrait. It was a beautiful warm day for it being January so we headed to the park to take the photos.
We were all excited to bring Molly- a sweet rescued dog that the Veranis’s took into their home and made apart of their family. See made a great addition to the photos!

Here’s a few from our shoot! =D
